Secondary Effects From a Water Damage

Failure to react quickly to a water damage in your home or business can lead to secondary damage. Secondary damage is damage that is caused by the moisture in the air. Primary damage is the result of direct contact with the initial water loss. Some examples of Primary damage would be walls and floors.
Homeowner comes home to 2” of standing water in his finished basement. His sump pump failed to work. Unknown to the homeowner, the water covered the basement floor for several days.
