Many people do not know that they may have materials in their home that contain asbestos. Asbestos is a mineral fiber. There are several types of asbestos fibers. In the past, asbestos was added to a variety of products to strengthen them and to provide heat insulation and fire resistance. If you think asbestos may be in your home, don't panic. Usually the best thing is to leave the material alone. Unless the fibers are released, no danger is present.

SERVPRO of Farmington & Farmington Hills was called out to home in Berkley to perform a cleaning after waterproofing a basement. Upon inspection, we determined that the Vinyl floor tile in the basement contained Asbestos.  IAQ Management was called out to perform testing.  Asbestos was removed and we were able to complete the cleaning of the basement.
